Are celebrities getting dumb and dumber? Or are these just piles of goof-ups, one top of the other?
Farrah Abraham has done what the US considers as a blunder on the most sensitive topics of all: 9/11. While her intentions might not have been wrong, she goofed up. Farrah was one number off when she recalled the shorthand name for the attacks that shook the US (and the world along with it.)
While she was paying tribute to the lives lost in the gruesome September 11 attacks, Farrah Abraham made a blunder by calling them 7/11
The MTV star was paying tribute to the lives that were lost as she visited Freedom Tower along with her daughter, Sophia. She posted a short video clip.
Farrah Abraham blunder on 9/11 might not have been intentional, but it led to a major backlash. One of the deadliest terror attacks in American history, it is the one thing every American is well-versed in. Farrah Abraham got it mixed up with the country’s most famous gas station convenience store, it seems.
Farrah Abraham shared the clip on the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Moreover, unfortunately for Farrah Abraham, the blunder about 9/11 happened right at the beginning of her video clip! She kicked off the vlog by saying, “Since it’s going to be September 11th, in honor of the Freedom Towers and the observatory deck and everything — 7-Eleven.” Scroll down to watch the video.
Not a gas station
As soon as she uploaded the video on Instagram, fans eyed and singled out the mistake right away. But that is not all. They were also upset with Farrah Abraham’s other choice of words.
A fan commented regarding Farrah Abraham’s blunder, “If you want to ‘enjoy the experience’ of 7-11 you are in the wrong place 🤦🏻♀️.” And another wrote, “We’re not talking about a gas station we’re talking about one of the biggest dates in history 9/11 not 7/11🤦🏼♀️🙄.”
But one of the comments was filled with extreme anger, “Glad to see you are ‘enjoying’ the “7/11” memorial. Take this post down. It’s so inappropriate and insensitive!!!”
