Star Indian sprinter, Hima Das, has yet again made the country proud. On Sunday she won the gold in women’s 200m at Kutno Athletics Meet in Poland.
The sprinter had been struggling with a severe back problem since a few months.
But she came out stronger and clocked 23.97 seconds as she clinched the gold
Apart from that, VK Vismaya bagged the second place with 24.06 seconds.
Hima Das has personal best of mere 23.10 sec from last year. This is her second 200m race of 2019. Earlier, in her first 200m, she grabbed the gold with 23.65s at Poznan Athletics Grand Prix on Tuesday.
Hima Das, who hails from Assam, is the next big thing in athletics. In fact, she is ruling as the world junior champion. Moreover, she holds a national record in 400m.
