Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher 2’ look: Finding the filthy
Filthy is the first thing that comes to our minds after taking a look at the picture. Yes, Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher 2’ look is definitely one that depicts a warrior who has undergone a lot, fought a lot, borne a lot, but yet wears all the scars like a mean machine. Henry brings all that and more on the table and it is visible in this look, coupled with his subtle yet defined grimace.
Whether that grimace comes from his slight discomfort at being “manhandled” by the makeup and hair artists Jacqui and Ailbhe, or it is a hint towards the sequence for which he is going to shoot, we are curious nonetheless. After all, he does call Jacqui the angel of vengeance.
Well, we don’t really mind the filth. Geralt’s baths have been infamous for a long time, and getting a look at that downright dirty body being washed off its sins is not a sight we are complaining about. But what we are surely concerned about is the grimace? Is Cavill up for a mean sequence? What is the witcher up against in the much-delayed and much-awaited season 2?
The actor also revealed that all of the cast and crew are being continuously tested for COVID-19, and are following all the relevant safety protocols. Well, the witcher knows how to hunt down the pandemic monster. If only he also knew of a way to eliminate it. But then, you can’t have everything in life. We are just glad that we have been treated to Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher 2’ look, which is an indication that things are moving towards the second season’s production and we can soon have it on our screens.
The COVID-19 attack
The pandemic has left the entertainment industry lagging, especially the shows that were to start production for the next season. This impacted ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 as well. However, Henry Cavill surely utilized his time really well by painting tiny figurines and even getting himself a whole new gaming PC! All in all,
Which Type Of Witcher Personality Do You Have? (Quiz)
Cavill has honed himself well while being under lockdown. But now, he is ready to roar.
Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher 2′ look is intriguing and it will be interesting to see how the storyline is taken forward from the first season that was based on the first two sets of short stories, “The Last Wish” and “Sword of Destiny”. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who adapted and created the series for the screen, says that for her, the story boils down to being that of a broken family, and she is looking forward to boiling the plot pot accordingly in the second season, coupled with the mysterious fantastical world in which the characters and stories are based.
Besides ‘The Witcher 2’, what is Henry Cavill up to?
While Henry Cavill’s look for ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 may be the talk of the town, the actor is seen stepping into other shoes as well. He is, as the world knows, DC’s ‘Superman’, and will be seen in the much-awaited Snyder cut of the Justice League movie. Apart from that, the man is also stepping into the shoes of the legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes for the upcoming Netflix movie ‘Enola Holmes‘.
But we have our eyes and hearts fixated on the next chapter in the life of the Geralt of Rivia and what monsters he hunts in the second season. Given that only the first few short stories have been adapted, there is a lot more meat in the plot to be discovered in the witcher’s life and we are all for it.
