The Witcher Season 2 is already in the works
The pandemic may have put a halt on shooting schedules, but tucked away in the corners of the world are writers, executives, and artists planning the return of the second-highest-grossing show on Netflix.
Rumours are doing the rounds that Cavill is being replaced as Geralt of Rivia. What we earlier believed was a creative call due to the requirements of the storyline, turns out to be something else. Cavill has decided to take the superhero route instead of choosing to return to Netflix.
Cavill donned the Superman cape thrice before in the Warner Bros movies to varying degrees of success. That is also the role he is best known for, so it might be a smarter choice to go ahead with this one.
Superman: A New Era For Warner Bros
Warner Bros has finally found the perfect recipe for competing with the Marvel universe. Following the success of Aquaman, the major studio house seems to have a grip on a flawless balance between comedy and action.
Henry Cavill has played the part of Clark Kent to justice.
We see bits of humour, warmth and cheer, with that obvious man of steel stature that Cavill so effortlessly possesses, whether as Superman or as Geralt of Rivia.
With the new journey that DC Comics is currently undertaking with the highly-anticipated Batman starring Robert Pattinson, this might be the most exciting time the DC Universe has seen in a long time.

We don’t see Henry Cavill choosing anything other than playing his iconic role as the mythical being, who has reached new heights of a cult following.
The Witcher without Cavill?
Season 1 of The Witcher saw Anya Charolta playing a sorceress called Yeneffer, Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and Freya Allan playing Ciri, a princess with an extraordinary destiny. These characters are destined to cross each other’s path and help each other in some way or the other.
But an agreement bounds Geralt of Rivia with Ciri, one that was made years ago. Ciri, as the show suggests, was born to do something great, and finding Geralt is her only way of achieving that.
The second season will focus primarily on Ciri. She will likely go to KaerMorhen to train to be a Witcher. In the books, Yeneffer and Ciri develop a close relationship, so hopefully, we’ll get to see the two interact in the second season.
Owing to the ever-changing Covid-19 scenario, The Witcher will not return before 2021. But the creator of the series, Laura S. Hessrich, tweeted that the show will resume shooting soon after the coronavirus break.
Well, there a lot of things to be excited about in the coming year. The Witcher Season 2 and Henry Cavill’s return as Superman might just top our list.
