It’s been over a decade since the first film in the ‘Hangover‘ trilogy hit the theatres and made the audience drunk on the laughs. ‘The Hangover’ was such an unexpected success that the creators, who originally weren’t even confident of the one movie, decided to turn it into a trilogy overnight. However, the hangover of three movies was also not enough for the fans, thus, fans kept asking for another one from the creators. Seems like, after eight long years of ‘The Hangover Part III’, the makers have finally heard the fans. If you believe Ken Jeong, then ‘Hangover 4’ is in the making and is all set to take fans on a trip to Toronto.

Ken Jeong hints at a trip to Toronto in ‘Hangover 4’
After years of speculations, demands, and denials, seems like ‘Hangover 4’ is finally happening, and it’s going to take us on a trip to Toronto, says Ken Jeong.
Ken Jeong starred as Mr Chow, a flamboyant Chinese gangster, in the ‘Hangover’ trilogy alongside Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Mike Tyson, and others.
In a recent interview with etalk, Ken Jeong revealed a few details about ‘Hangover 4’, and he went on to share the plot and the probable happenings in the movie.
The interviewer asked Jeong:
“Hangover 4, can we expect it? What’s happening with that? That’s gotta be in the works.”
Unlike his fellow stars, who held back on confirming anything or even denied it, Ken Jeong instantly replied with a ‘yes’.
Jeong said with a distinct tone: “Hangover 4, Toronto, yoo, Hangover 4.”
What did he mean by this reply? Will ‘Hangover 4’ take the audience to Toronto? Is ‘Hangover 4’ finally happening? Well, Jeong went as far as sharing the synopsis of the movie.
What will be the plot and story of ‘Hangover 4’?
In ‘Hangover’, Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), and Doug’s would-be brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis) go on a search for Doug (Justin Bartha), who went missing from his own bachelor party.
‘Hangover II’ lands them in a similar situation in which they’ve to go on searching for Stu’s future brother-in-law, Teddy, in Bangkok. ‘Hangover III’ follows the events of ‘Hangover I & II’.
This raises the question of whether ‘Hangover 4’ will follow the events of the first 3 movies, or will it be a reboot. Well, you don’t need to stress your brains, as Ken Jeong has revealed the story of ‘Hangover 4’, which will take place in Toronto.
In answer to the same question in the interview, Jeong revealed:
“Mr Chow looks for citizenship – ‘I like to apply for Visa (Mr Chow’s accent)’ – said Mr Chow, – ‘You know, please. Oh, I can’t have a Visa? Toodaloo.’ – and just walks away, that’s pretty much the synopsis of the ‘Hangover 4.’”
Well, we wonder if this is some kind of a prank. Guess what, it is.
Is ‘Hangover 4’ really happening?
While Ken Jeong did actually say ‘Hangover 4’ is happening and will take us all to Toronto, he confirmed in no time that he’s just messing with the fans. Further discussing the possibilities of ‘Hangover 4’, Jeong said it’s not happening.
“When we finished filming Hangover 3, we knew that would be the end, and we actually chronicled it, you know, we knew the last day of filming kind of all of us together, we took photos and we just kind of took a moment to reflect….- we all knew that this would be the last one.”
We know it breaks your heart. But the fact is, that neither the cast nor the creators are interested in coming back together to create ‘Hangover 4’.
Ed Helms, in an interview with Access Hollywood in January 2020, gave a resounding ‘no’ to the possibilities of a 4th movie. In 2018 as well, in an interview with Cinepop, Ed Helms said that the possibilities of ‘Hangover 4’ are between zero and zero.
While Ken Jeong pulled a quick prank by saying that ‘Hangover 4’ is happening and will be set in Toronto, we all know that ‘Hangover’ is not coming back. However, do you think that Todd Philips and the crew should bring back ‘Hangover’ in some way? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
