About the show
The wildly popular comedy series stars Jane Fonda (as Grace) and Lily Tomlin (as Frankie) who found their lives in shackles when their husbands (Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) declared that they were gay and planning to marry each other.
Now, the women, who have particularly nothing in common and dislike each other, are forced to live together. The series follows Grace and Frankie’s journey as they learn to unite and cope with their difficulties with the passage of time.
The drama-cum-comedy show Grace and Frankie first launched on May 8, 2015. It has since then adroitly and hilariously mocked the experience of growing older. Apart from this, it has also given a voice to the rapidly growing faction of our population.
The show has a great fan base and is immensely popular among the younger generation moms and the millennials. It has been able to attain that feat because it addresses issues that have really connected with today’s generation.
Practically, Sam, Jane, Martin, and Lily have served as role models to the fans that span across generations.
The show has received several nominations and accolades including five Primetime Emmy and one Golden Globe nominations.
