The services provided by Google cloud were disrupted for four hours on Sunday in various parts of the US
Can you imagine a single hour without Gmail, YouTube or Snapchat?
Many parts in North America faced such a crisis for four hours yesterday! All those services that are dependent on Google’s backend technology were affected. According to the company, this was a result of “high level of network congestion.”
Moreover, this affected many third-party applications that use the Google cloud to host their services. In addition to this, the complete G suite was down including Google’s search engine. It was around 12 pm PT that this issue commenced.
Even though the issue has now been resolved, it puts forward a question on the reliability of Google cloud hosting.
