According to a report online, the show was open to another kind of a reboot to the decade-old series on WB and CW. However, that plan has been put on hold for now.

Showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino has told Hollywood Reporter, “When we pitched Gilmore Girls: A Year In Life Season 2, everybody was like this is it, this is the ending.”
However, as we understand, the chances of its revival is now facing a glitch.

Nearly eight years after Gilmore Girls aired its final episode of the seventh season, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life found itself a new space on Netflix. Owing to the show’s immense popularity, the streaming giant renewed the show for a miniseries.
A four-episode long miniseries averaging about an hour and a half episode each is a fresh look into Rory and Lorelai Gilmore’s moving lives. The series progresses through each season of the year – Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter.
