Premiere date of ‘Sex Education’ Season 3
Netflix had confirmed season 3 of ‘Sex Education’ through a video of Principal Groff (Alistair Petrie) talking about some of the show’s key characters and telling fans that they would have to wait to see what happens when the next season premieres online.
The filming of ‘Sex Education’ began in early September 2020. It was again confirmed through a video on Twitter. The video showed various cast members like Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Chris Jenks, Chinenye Ezeudu, Tanya Reynolds, Connor Swindells, Jojo Macari and Chaneil Kular headed back to the set in their PPE kits.
The drama series star, Gillian Anderson who plays the role of Dr Jean F. Milburn further revealed that the cast and crew are taking every precaution to make filming as safe as possible. They are also being tested multiple times a week in the show’s laboratory. The premises of the show require a certain level of closeness among the essential characters. Hence, for some time the filming was looking highly unlikely.
The third season, like its previous seasons, will have eight episodes. ‘Sex Education’ was earlier slated for a January 2021 release. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, its shooting was delayed. We can expect ‘Sex Education’ season 3 to release around the summer of 2021.

Who will we see in ‘Sex Education’ in Season 3?
Netflix recently introduced fans of the ‘Sex Education’ to its new cast members. Jemima Kirke will be joining season 3 as new Headmistress Hope who plans to Moordale back into a pillar of excellence. Whereas Dua Saleh will play the role of Cal, a nonbinary student at Morrdale High School who clashes with Hope’s new vision for the school.
Popular ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets‘ actor Jason Isaacs will join the cast as Peter Groff, as the more successful and not very modest older brother of Mr Groff.
Apart from them, we will get to see many cast members return on ‘Sex Education’ season 3. It includes Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, Simone Ashley, Mimi Keene, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Aimee-Lou Wood, Sami Outalball, Anne-Marie Duff, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Chaneil Kular, Tanya Reynolds, Mikael Persbrandt, Alistair Petrie, Patricia Allison, George Robinson and Chinenye Ezeudu.
Writer and creator Laurie Nunn is hopeful that ‘Sex Education’ will continue after season 3.
“I love writing these characters. It’s such a big ensemble and I think the theme of the show in terms of it being about sex and relationships. It really just offers up endless story opportunities. I think the show definitely has legs if Netflix is nice enough to let me keep writing it and let Ben [Taylor] keep directing it”
She said to LadBible.
Season 2 recap of ‘Sex Education’
The finale episode of ‘Sex Education’ season 2 had Jean finding out that she is pregnant with Jakob’s child. Does this mean Jakob and Jean will be back together or considering her age she will choose an abortion?
In a strange turn of events, Eric left his boyfriend Rahim and got back together with Adam, who finally seemed to come to terms with his sexuality.
Another major cliffhanger of season 2 revolved around Maeve and Otis. In a voicemail to Maeve, Otis professes his love for her. But Maeve’s new pal, Issac deletes it before she could hear it. We are definitely awaiting new on Issac being held accountable for his action in season 3 of ‘Sex Education’.
Will Otis and Maeve become a couple in season three? Or will Maeve be more preoccupied with her mother’s drug relapse and her sister Elsie being taken by the social services?
