SEBI has barred NDTV founders Prannoy and Radhika Roy for two years
SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) has banned Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy for two years. Hence, they would not be allowed to hold any position at NDTV (New Delhi Television Ltd.).

Moreover, the couple has also been barred from access to the securities’ market for two whole years. Not just the couple, but also their holding, RRPR holdings, has been banned.
But, the list does not end here. In addition to everything else, Prannoy Roy and Radhika cannot be directors at any listed entities for one year.
Meanwhile, all these harsh decisions are a result of an investigation by SEBI. The couple allegedly withheld information from shareholders. Additionally, this occurred during loan agreements from 2008 to 2010.
Presently, Prannoy Roy is the executive co-chairperson at NDTV. While he and his wife are co-founders of the company.
