Two and a Half Men was a massive success with its ahead-of-time plotline and an even more exciting cast. Having been embroiled in enough controversies, the show played out extremely well for years till its end in 2015.

This is a story of a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie, who lives in his personal beach house in Malibu. He is joined by his divorced brother and his 10-year-old nephew. The show is full of comic moments and so much more. It was during season 9 that Charlie Sheen, who played Charlie, was replaced by Walden Shmidt. (Played by Ashton Kutcher). It was going a little out of hand with Charlie Sheen’s addiction to drugs after his divorce with Denise Richards, and it led to jeopardizing the flow of the show behind the scenes. His behaviour under the influence of drugs and alcohol was making it difficult to work with him.

Charlie getting fired
The doldrums extended so much that Charlie Sheen was fired after making controversial statements about the show’s creator Chuck Lorre on a radio show hosted by Alex Jones. Jon Cryer opened up about it all after the finale, “Charlie and I just hit it off. We had a great first few years on that show.”
“It was incredibly smooth, we had a lovely time, it was working really well,” he added.
‘He was very proud of his sobriety, but then after his marriage to Denise Richards collapsed, I think he started using again,’ said Cryer.
“At first he could handle it, and he was still incredibly professional — and still lovely, by the way, to everybody on set — but you could just see that stuff was wearing on him.”
“There’s all that, plus there’s the fact that all of our jobs are tied into this guy, and we’re all his friends. It was very, very strange and aspects of it that I absolutely hated, but you know, I’m thankful for the years that were great,” he expressed after being asked how it felt like being in the middle of all of it.

Charlie was written out of the show following an on-screen death of his character due to an accident in Paris.
Walden appeared in Alan’s life just when he was about to give up the beach house due to mortgage issues. Turns out Walden is a billionaire. He ended up buying the house and asked Alan to permanently shift with him. Their relationship was solid like that of Alan and Charlie’s.
What if the three of them were together now?
Well, we know Charlie was dead and there is no way that he could be back. However, what if the story had him come back after five years? Would it make up for an interesting trio?
Fans have reportedly loved the Walden-Alan duo more than Charlie-Alan. Considering how petty and jealous Charlie could get, it doesn’t seem like a good idea to put the three of them together along with a growing kid. The house could turn into a hotspot for arguments, chaos, and what not.
The other possibility is that Walden and Charlie might just end up vibing with each other. With both of them being single and all about fun, it might create a ground for them to gel with each other. Cut to five years later, Charlie is back from the dead, Walden and Alan are still tight and living their lives in their beach house. It comes as a shocker when Charlie suddenly turns up at the house. Wasn’t he dead though? But then again, you can expect the man to do something totally outrageous out of the blue. Oh, and by the way, Jake is all grown up and kicking ass in university.
Drama begins.
Since Charlie had been out of the picture, there is a lot that he has missed out on — the Walden-Alan’s friendship being one of the most significant of them all. Watching them close and vibing with each other sort of makes him feel jealous and like someone who doesn’t belong there. To top it all, Walden had been present during the formative years of Jake. Therefore, the two are pretty close. There’s only so much that Charlie can go through. Petty arguments may start between Charlie and Walden; sometimes Charlie and Alan too. It may come to a point where it becomes extremely toxic for the three in the lovely Malibu beach house.
So much so, that Walden, being the owner, asks Charlie to leave the house. Charlie ends up at his mother’s apartment. More drama! More drunken nights with meaningless hookups follow only to end up with Charlie realising that he needs to get his shit together.
What follows is his apology for his unruly behaviour? Mind-Blowing, right?
Oh, don’t worry; there will still be many disasters in the middle. Him falling for Jake’s professor being one of them.
It is only going to get interesting ahead. After all, five years is a long time to turn around life as we know it.
