Lashana Lynch will be the first woman to play the iconic role of 007
The action-packed James Bond character was long overdue for change. While a change was anticipated, this one has shocked everyone and it is being praised all over the internet. The 007 agent would be played by British actress, Lashana Lynch.
She would be replacing Daniel Craig as the new 007 agent in the upcoming movie, Bond 25

What really stirs up and escalates the audience’s hope is that Lynch is the first woman and the first black actor to play the James Bond’s 007 replacement role. This exemplary move is being welcomed with open arms.
She is not the Bond girl; Bond IS a girl
Lynch was last seen in the role of a fighter pilot in Captain Marvel
Moreover, the James Bond franchise is reportedly making yet another change. It is going to take on a more feministic tone with the character as they give a whole new look to it. This move was made more certain when Fleabag creator, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was roped in to create the script of Bond 25.
“I think [James Bond] is absolutely relevant now. It has just got to grow. It has just got to evolve, and the important thing is that the film treats the women properly,” said Waller-Bridge in an interview with Deadline.
Plot with many twists
In the upcoming movie, that is being directed by Cary Joji Fukanaga, Daniel Craig’s character, James Bond would retire from MI6. For those who do not know, MI6 is the UK’s secret intelligence service. But apart from that, nothing much is known about the movie. Or the demographics of Lynch’s character. In fact, even her name has not yet been revealed.
