This came forward in the hearing at Shelby County Criminal Court. Subsequently, the judge, Lee Coffee, sentenced her for 30 years in prison. Additionally, he said that Sherra Wright would be eligible for parole after she would have served 30% of her sentence. That comes down to around nine years.
Lorenzen Wright’s body was found with gunshot wounds in a field in suburban Memphis. This was in July 2010. In fact, Lorenzen had been missing since 10 days before his body was finally found.
Later, in an interview with The Commercial Appeal, Sherra Wright raised eyebrows when she said that she pleaded guilty for the sake of her children. But she did not elaborate any further.
“I’m just going to say because of my children, I have made this decision, and because of them I’m not going to go into many more details right now, but I’m just going to say everything is not what it seems,” said Sherra Wright.
