Torture, if you ask us! So, who is the father of Rory’s baby and who does she end up with? Keep reading to find out more!

Could Logan be the father of Rory’s baby?
A lot of confusion has been going around regarding who could be the father of Rory’s baby. We mean, the last we saw of Rory Gilmore on the Netflix revival of ‘Gilmore Girls’, there could be a few candidates lined up for the role. Not to say that Rory has been a little flighty in the revival, but her romance with Logan Huntzberger was somehow scandalously, if you ask us, rekindled. Nevertheless, unlike the dreamy romance of the two during the original run of the series, this time the Logan-Rory romance was far from being a fairy tale.
Logan is engaged to Odette and Rory, well, is dating a man she can’t even remember! Both Logan and Rory begin a little side romance away from the partners. Better late than never, however, Rory realises that she is the side chick and decides to part ways with Logan. Oh and did we mention, the one-night stand Rory has with a “wookie” amidst all this chaos? Get a grip girl!
Soon after, comes the shocking moment of Rory’s big pregnancy revelation, but in cruel and clever masterstroke the biggest question of the fans is not answered. Who is the father? Let’s figure that out, shall we? For one, Paul (the boyfriend Rory keeps forgetting) does not fit into the equation because the two hardly spend any time together. More so, Rory tries everything in her power to avoid Paul.
Ruling our Paul, we arrive at the wookie. The wookie could be the father of Rory’s baby but even that seems unlikely because the hook up was during the summer, which leaves a little more time before Rory could have found out about the pregnancy. That leaves only Logan and their last night together seems to fit perfectly with the timeline of the pregnancy reveal.
Keiko Agena thinks Rory and Jess belong together
Reasonably, calculations seem to point at Logan as the father of Rory’s child. However, as far as the story of ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ goes, Logan Huntzberger and Rory Gilmore don’t seem like they are meant to end up together. Breaks our hearts! That being said, there’s one more person who probably should have been the perfect partner for Rory, had they both been not so young and headstrong. No, it’s not Dean, but Jess. In fact, this is not just us talking. Keiko Agena, the actor who played Rory’s best friend Lane in the show, seems to think so too.
Speaking about being “Team Jess”, Keiko Agena told “US Weekly“,
“Oh, I’m totally Jess! I don’t know how other people perceive it but to me, I felt like they were always the closest because of similar passions … Logan’s relationship with Rory — especially in the revival — it’s just so messy!”
But hey, when has Rory not been a fan of the messy?
Matt Czuchry knows who is the father of Rory’s baby
Coming back to the question of the father of the child of Rory Gilmore, Matt Czuchry, the actor who plays Logan on ‘Gilmore Girls’, self-admittedly has the answer. However, the actor has refused to give up any secrets up citing that it was not his secret to be told. Rather it’s a story being told by creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino and the power of revelation resides with them.
“They told me who the father of the baby was, and they said, ‘Yeah, you can tell whoever you want’. And I never have. That’s for them to say. Ultimately this is Amy and Dan’s show and it’s Lauren [Graham’s] show and it’s Alexis’ show. It’s not mine. And so, for me, it doesn’t feel like the right place to say who it may or may not be”
He elaborated further on the reason for him keeping his mouth shut. He continued,
“If we do come back, they may change their minds. So it could become somebody else. Those are the reasons why I’ve never said what they told me on set”
Such a spoilsport, we tell you!
