The Brexit party became the clear winner of European elections. The party topped polls in all parts of England (except London).
Conservatives boar the heaviest loss and slipped to the fifth position with less than 10% votes in their favor.
The leader of Brexit party, Nigel Farage, quoted that the two main parties (Conservatives and Labour) “could learn a big message” from these results.
The 28 member states of the European Union are electing MEPs to the EU’s legislative, through these elections.
The UK was due to exit from the EU on 29 March. But the deadline was missed. The Anti-Brexit parties took 40% of the votes altogether. In comparison, the parties that were in favour of exiting the EU with no deal got 35% votes.
