A recent report that is going viral confirms this fact with numbers and figures. How true are they, it cannot be said. According to a report by UK based ICMP, many of these celebrities are faking Instagram followers. Besides, the top accounts among these are of Elle DeGeneres, BTS, and Kourtney Kardashian. Shocking!
Ellen DeGeneres took the crown with 58% fake followers in the showbiz category. Well, did not expect that! The famous personality has over 75 million followers. That roughly amounts to 43 million fake followers.
Following closely are the viral South Korean K-pop band, BTS. They steal the show with 48% fake Instagram followers.
And the eldest Kardashian makes it to the top three with 49% fake followers. So, with 80 million followers, her fake ones would approximate to 39 million if the reports are true.
Not only Kourtney, but two more Kardashians are also on the list. Kim and Khole followed their sister’s footsteps with 44% fake Instagram followers.

The gorgeous Bollywood actress came at the sixth position. Allegedly, she has 45% fake followers.
The other Indian is PC who has been at the heart of many controversies recently. And this only adds to the list. So, PC stood tenth on the list of fake followers. Besides, according to the survey she has 43% followers that are not real.
