Earthquake hits Northeast Ohio; no damage reported

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake centered in Eastlake shook Northeast Ohio on Monday morning at 10:55 a.m.

A fairly significant earthquake woke up Ohio on Monday morning. Reports from people around Northeast Ohio, including Lake County, Euclid and Mentor tweeted about feeling the rumblings as cities were setting off to begin a new work week.

Tremors were also felt in parts of counties including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Summit, Ashtabula, Portage, Lorain, Medina, and Summit.

No damage has been reported in the region, but multiple law enforcement agencies reported being flooded with frantic 911 calls alerting them of shaking buildings.
