My name is Bond, James Bond. And I have no time to retire!

James Bond has a special space all around the globe — and no —‘No Time To Die’ will not be the end of Daniel Craig as the face of ‘007’ movies. The news is making rounds that this will be the end of James Bond as we know it. In fact, even Daniel Craig himself plans to retire from agent 007’s post. Despite the popular belief that the 51-year-old actor is retiring as James Bond, we have reason to believe that this is not the end. Daniel Craig will come back as the iconic British agent, James Bond, yet again.
Heads Up!
- Is ‘the time to retire’ really here?
- Even Daniel Craig believes Never say Never.
- Daniel Craig — the synonymous of perfection
‘No Time To Die’ has a lot of hopes and expectations tied with it. These hopes were spiked up multifold when the trailer dropped on 4 December 2019. But there was a piece of disheartening news attached to it.
‘No Time To Die’ will hit the theaters on 2 April 2020 in the UK.
This will be followed by 8 April 2020 in the USA.
The last James Bond movie that Daniel Craig did was back in 2015. ‘Spectre’ was meant to be the very last of Daniel Craig’s James Bond movies. Craig was very sure he was not going to return as James Bond on the silver screen ever again.
But as the saying goes —
Never Say Never
Daniel Craig reportedly turned down $100 million in May 2016. With this move, Daniel Craig confirmed that he was never coming back to any movies in the James Bond franchise. He even gave an interview to Timeout in which he stated his intention with graphic details. Daniel Craig was so strong in his decision that he would rather “slit his wrists” instead of starring in another James Bond movie.

After this piece of news, it was finally in August 2017 that the actor was finally confirmed for ‘No Time To Die’. The highlight of the whole story is that he did come back despite all the talk about slitting wrists and moving on.
History is repeating itself
Surely, it must have taken a lot of convincing to bring him back. Now that Daniel Craig is back for ‘No Time To Die’, he is claiming (again) that this will be his last movie as James Bond. Does that mean history is set to repeat itself again?

According to Daniel Craig, ‘No Time to Die’ is a closure for him. Sources claim that he was never fully satisfied with how his last James Bond movie, ‘Spectre’, ended. Even though he wanted to “move on” from the iconic character, he was unsatisfied with ‘Spectre’ being his last ever James Bond movie.

‘Spectre’ did not fit Craig’s ideas and vision for homage to the iconic character. So, despite much reluctance, Daniel Craig decided to dive into the role yet again. If one were to believe the reports, the actor thinks ‘No Time To Die’ is in sync with his ideas.
Daniel Craig Will Come Back in James Bond Movies
Only time will tell if the movie’s script complies with his vision, or he comes back for more. Daniel Craig is such a visionary and perfectionist that he will be moved to come back to James Bond movies unless he has perfected the end. Whether the next Bond movie is Daniel Craig’s closure or not— he has surely opened doors of hope for fans.
Daniel Craig will return as James Bond (Watch Video)
It is highly speculated that the script of ‘No Time To Die’ will either kill the character or send him into retirement. But if it fails to provide a satisfactory ending for the British secret agent, nothing can stop the makers and Daniel Craig to team up yet again. The makers could either film a prequel or show what happens to James Bond post-retirement. Either way, Daniel Craig will not leave his fans empty and in the lurch because no one else can quite fit in the James Bond shoe.
