With Avengers: Endgame’s end it became evident that Captain America has disappeared from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But not the actor playing the character. Chris Evans might be coming back to the MCU! And no, not as Captain America!
As Ryan Coogler is officially slated to write and direct Black Panther 2, speculations are taking over the Marvel world; and we have a speculation of our own: Chris Evans might come back to MCU.
Captain America is done with MCU, but Chris Evans might be coming back with Black Panther 2.
But how does Chris Evans relate to Black Panther you ask? While his current Avengers role might not directly bridge him to Wakanda, Chris Evans has been cast in MCU before. In the 2005 movie, ‘The Fantastic Four’, Chirs Evans played one of the four superheroes: the Human Torch.
Chris Evans’ door into MCU
Now that speculations about Black Panther 2’s villains are taking over the internet, it opens up a world of possibilities. Currently, it is being speculated that two of the most famous Marvel villains are going to debut on the silver screen with Black Panther 2. These are Doctor Doom and Namor. (In fact, it is actually a surprise for many that these two haven’t been cast in on the silver screen till now).
Now, if Doctor Doom will be in the Black Panther 2 movie, there are high chances that the Human Torch (and thus, Chris Evans) might also be featured as a part of the Fantastic Four.
While the 2015 Fantastic Four movie saw Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, we believe Chris Evans’ popularity with the Marvel fans would call for him to play the role in Black Panther 2. What do you think? Wouldn’t you love to see Chris Evans back in the MCU? And if not as the Human Torch, which role would you prefer him in? Share with us.
