At the heart of the fantasy-drama show lies Henry Cavill, who plays the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia. Imagine then what hell must have broken loose when the actor sustained a leg injury when performing his own stunt!
Does this mean that ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 will have no Henry Cavill? Who will replace the actor?

How Cavill hurt himself
Filming for the second season had begun in January of 2020, but then the pandemic happened. So the production had to shut down. It opened again in August and was again shut down since several people on-set tested positive.
It was in between the short filming time available between shutdowns that Henry Cavill, unfortunately, suffered the minor leg injury on-set for ‘The Witcher’. The actor is known to perform his own stunt, and he was on an assault course when the accident happened.
Apparently, shooting was going on even without Cavill as far as it was possible. But since he is the star of the show, filming can’t go on for long without him. Does this mean he is going to be replaced?

The best person to replace Henry Cavill? Henry Cavill himself!
Recently, the actor shared an update with his fans on social media about himself, and what he’s been doing since his injury. Cavill shared that he’s going to go back to a workout routine. Filming usually stops for the holiday season anyway, which fortunately gave the actor time to heal.
It took the actor some time to get back to his workout routine, but as is evident, he’s already pumped up to get better quickly and get back to work!
