When an actor is faced with choosing between his two iconic characters, that’s when he knows that he has achieved what he came for in the show business.
That moment for Ashton Kutcher has finally come. With the looming question over ‘The Ranch’ Season 9 and ‘Two and A Half Men’ reboot for season 13, Kutcher is in a big dilemma.

- Why Ashton Kutcher is the king of ‘The Ranch’?
Being the executive producer, will he choose ‘The Ranch’ over his big break ‘Two and A Half Men’? Well, we don’t know that yet. But sure enough, fans are clear on what they want.
Charlie Sheen to return to ‘Two and A Half Men’ Season 13?
After successfully running for 12 seasons, ‘Two and a Half Men’ ended in 2015 leaving the fans wanting more. Despite the untimely demise of Charlie Sheen’s character, its dedicated fan base is eager to watch him back if season 13 happens.
But you will ask how that is possible? One of the fans, Brave, suggested in the dKoding comments section, “It’s all possible. Even Charlie’s piano death can be someone’s bad dream. We can have it all if the producers want to”.
On the other hand, another fan expressed, “It’s gotta be Sheen. If he’s up for it and will behave, you can write him back into the show a million ways. No other actor they might plug into the show will work. Gotta be Charlie”.
But what does Sheen have to say about the comeback and the new season?
“Of course [I would like it to]. There’s a trend towards reboots these days, and I think that would be one that folks might tune in for. It doesn’t have to go on for another five years, it would just be nice to do a couple of seasons and end it as it should have”, Sheen said.
Feud over ‘Two and A Half Men’ and ‘The Ranch’
With ‘Two and A Half Men’, what started as a smooth sailing turned into a mess when Charlie Sheen was kicked out of the show for alcohol and drug abuse. In an open letter, Sheen called creator Chuck Lorre (also the creator of ‘The Big Bang Theory’), “a contaminated little maggot.

I wish him nothing but pain”. Sheen’s comments were the final straw for Lorre and the network. Killing the original one of two men, Charlie Harper, Lorre directed the ship of the sitcom with the then-newcomer Ashton Kutcher as internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, never once faltering the show’s viewership.
Meanwhile, Netflix-owned ‘The Ranch’ also had its fair share of controversies following multiple allegations of sexual assault on Danny Masterson. This led Netflix to kill his character Rooster in a brutal bike accident and alter the ending of the part.
Later, the character was replaced by Dax Shepard as Ashton Kutcher aka Colt Bennett’s estranged cousin Luke Matthews.
Why Ashton Kutcher is the king of ‘The Ranch’?
‘The Ranch’ ended after 8 very successful seasons in early 2020 and it is still one of the most casually profane, multi-cam setup sitcom of Netflix. With the Colt Bennett character, Ashton Kutcher perfected the art of playing his rough-boy next door charm.
In Colt, we see a golden boy who couldn’t make it in the big leagues. So, instead of becoming a bully, he is more self-reflective. In those moments of vulnerability, Ashton Kutcher makes an alarmingly good case for himself.
Reflecting on the same emotions, one of the fans commented in dKoding, “Ashton playing Colt Bennett in ‘The Ranch’ is absolutely the BEST all day, any day, & every day!!!”
While the casts and other fans are divided into team Sheen and team Kutcher, who do you think would be best for these two iconic sitcoms? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
