Although fired from ‘Two and a Half Men’, the actor still makes money from re-runs of the popular show. But how much exactly? Let’s find out.
Where is Charlie Sheen now is a question fans of ‘Two and a Half Men’ may be asking, and one short answer to that question is: still making quite a bit of money. When a well-made TV series becomes a smashing hit, the makers truly hit gold. That’s because even after the show ends, they can count on its continued popularity through reruns and continue to make money off it. Reruns of shows like ‘Two and a Half Men‘, that was over years ago but are still very popular and loved by the audience, ensure their makers a sweet stream of money, even now.

Reruns of ‘Two and a Half Men’ continues to reward its stars, even the infamous Charlie Sheen, with truckloads of money. But just how much?
Actors of popular shows still reap its benefits
According to GoBankingRates.com, when shows become successful their biggest stars get handsome paychecks while the show is ongoing. But that’s not all. Popular shows tend to get redistributed, syndicated, released on DVD or, as is increasingly happening, are bought by streaming platforms. When this happens, the actors get a little bit of the earnings therein. These are called royalties. And these royalties can sometimes have you floored.
Here’s how much Charlie Sheen makes on reruns
Charlie Sheen starred as an incorrigible womaniser in ‘Two and a Half Men’ and was the fan-favourite. The show lasted from 2003 to 2015, but in 2011 Charlie Sheen was fired from the Two And A Half Men and his character was written off and replaced by Ashton Kutcher who played another character on the show altogether. Apart from his crumbling personal life, Sheen’s public rants and clashes with the show’s creator Chuck Lorre were starting to affect on-set dynamics, which resulted in the actor being shown the door.
But while Sheen may have been the main character, Jon Cryer, who played his Alan Harper on the show, was on the show until its end in 2015, which means he was there for four more seasons than Sheen. According to the website “Collider”, both Cryer and Sheen seem to make the same amount of money from reruns of ‘Two and a Half Men’, as each has been paid over $20 million.
That is a lot of money for Charlie Sheen now, considering the controversies the actor has courted over the years and the notorious way he was kicked off on the show!
