Quick recap to what went down in season 10
Season 10 ended on quite an emotional note and made fans wonder if there was to be a new season to unwrap the “family secrets”. The beginning of the season finale shows Sean curious to know who his mysterious first cousin is. Reagen takes it upon himself as yet another case to solve; he uses his detective skills to find out more details about this recently discovered blood relative.
The mystery begins to unwrap by itself when Frank Reagen gets a request from a woman named Paula Hill, who asks that her son be transferred to a safer assignment from being a detective in firearms. It doesn’t take too long for Hill to reveal to Frank that her son’s father is Joe Reagen. She further explains to him that Joe and she had a fling when they were young and she kept her pregnancy a secret but chose to name her son after his father.

Frank finally gets to meet his newly introduced grandson and realises that Joe loves working in firearms. Consequently, Paula concludes that Frank won’t transfer him as she had requested. She tells him not to contact them ever again. However, Joe and Sean get in touch, which eventually leads to a family dinner.
Meanwhile, Eddie and Jamie find an abandoned newborn baby. Upon finding out who the mother is, they discover that she had panicked after an infant-trafficking ring sought her baby. She left him behind for someone to protect him. After the mother-son reunion, Eddie confesses that he would like to seriously consider having children with Jaime.

What will Blue Bloods season 11 be like?
The new season should ideally pick up from where the last season left off. With newly formed relationships, solving important major cases to having new babies, the new installment will hopefully be worth a watch!
Fans are beyond curious to know what’s in store, and have predicted various storylines for the upcoming season. “I want Eddie and Jamie to have beautiful babies already. It is sooooo (sic) long overdue. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. I hope it will be as good as the previous seasons” tweeted a fan.
Another fan tweeted, “It seems like everything is making better sense now. I like how season 10 ended and I really really really (sic) want Danny and Baez to make it happen till the end. They deserve it. When will season 11 release @CBS? Please confirm ALREADY!”
Blue Bloods season 11 release date confirmation
Even though there is a buzz that season 10 could release this fall, it doesn’t seem as plausible. Unlike the rest of the series that releases 22 episodes per season, the tenth season had to end with only 19.
Covid-19 has taken the entertainment industry by a storm and upended everything. All productions were forced to temporarily shut down till any further notice. While fans would love to see the Raegen men and others back on screen as soon as possible, chances of season 11 releasing this fall are fairly thin.
