Since the beginning of Marvel’s highly anticipated Phase 4 started after the culmination of Avengers; Endgame, there have been several films in the works to excite the fans.
Highlights —
- Dakota Fanning To Be Cast as Rogue In Part Two?
- Marvel And X-Men Together But How?
- What Will A Fight Between Captain Marvel And Rogue Look Like?
In Avengers: Endgame we see Thanos being killed by the Avengers putting the most powerful villain to an end. But, Thanos is not the only villain who has troubled our Avengers in the past. The Captain of them all, Captain Marvel is going to be back after we see her leading the Skrull refugees to find a new world and fight all the bad guys on her way to do so.

But who are the bad guys Captain Marvel will come face to face in the second part? Or should we say bad woman?
Dakota Fanning To Be Cast as Rogue In Part Two?
We all remember how her younger sister was cast as Jean in the X-MEN movies but due to conflicting work schedules was re-casted by none other than Sophie Turner? (I’m not sure if we really mind that!)
Well, seems like her elder sister, Dakota Fanning might be joining the Marvel Universe as none other Rogue. This iconic role was previously played by the youngest actor to win an Oscar, Anna Paquin and I don’t think we are going ahead of ourselves by saying she absolutely nails it. When we think of Rogue, we think of you Anna.

So, if Dakota Fanning is casted as Rogue she will have some huge shoes to fill and some eager fans to please. (No pressure?)
Marvel And X-Men Together But How?
Even more exciting than an all-female superhero cast, our favourite superheroes back on the screen is the inclination of the X-Men universe with the Marvel Universe through Rogue which was only possible after Disney acquired Fox.
So now that the MCU has the right to cast all new-age mutants one can only imagine the excitement that this power brings to the table. New-age mutants to inspire and fandoms to create and money to make?
But if you’re thinking that Rogue and Captain Marvel are going to be joining forces that is what we would like to call a rookie mistake. Rogue is going to be (if at all) the villain in the movie coming after Captain Marvel. Hence, the main focus of the movie will be the clash between Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers and Rogue.
Hence, there is a high possibility we might have Rogue playing the primary antagonist in the upcoming Captain Marvel Movie.
What Will A Fight Between Captain Marvel And Rogue Look Like?
One of the primary reasons Captain Marvel Part 1 didn’t fare well with the audience was because Captain Marvel is made to look invincible. She was established as a super human, someone who is too powerful and prominent to ever have someone equal fight with her.
There is nothing she can’t do. Fly, absorb every energy possible to make her stronger, lift 100 tonnes of weight at a time, fight 24 hours without tiring herself and is skilled in every form of combat.
Rogue on the other has the ability to drain the essence aka powers of a person just by physically touching them and giving them a bio- electric shock at the same time and synthesizing in her body all their skills and powers. Moreover, she can also absorb their memories and personality traits. Rogue has in the past knocked out the likes of She-Hulk and Wolverine rendering them completely useless.
With all that under order, this fight is going to be EPIC. Marvel has single-handedly devised a recipe for the biggest blockbuster of the year and it couldn’t get any better even if they try.
Just throw in a Hugh Jackman aka Wolverine cameo and we’re all set to visit the theatres twice.
