The announcement kickstarted massive online protest and petitions against the casting choice leading to the movie becoming a big talking point. Larson has become a torch that fires everything where she goes. The Avengers cast feels threatened by her presence and position in the movie and wants her removed right away.
The feminist stance of Larson didn’t go well with the section of the audience, and whenever there’s an event related to Captain Marvel, social media gets divided into two sections. No celebrity attracts the kind of hatred that Larson gets daily. The reason is her outspoken personality that shadows the male-dominated superhero universe.
The character of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is very similar to Larson in real life. Even in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the male superheroes fell short of power and struggled to bring Thanos under control. However, Carol appears out of nowhere and disassembles his entire ship in one fell swoop.

Now the news outlets have revealed that Larson has gained more creative control on the plotline of ‘Captain Marvel 2’. Moreover, her pay scale has been brought up to bring in line with her co-stars. The MCU actors are a little miffed about her ever dominating presence and feel that soon she will take over the Avengers plotline as well. Their jealousy is clearly visible in their resistance to work with Larson.
But Larson isn’t worried. She knows she has come a long way with the attitude, values and principles she holds and is not leaving them no matter what. The protesters may protest from the top of their lungs, but there’s no stopping the flagbearer of feminism in Hollywood, Brie Larson.
