Soon after officially joining MCU, Ms. Marvel will be doing Brie Larson some big favours by saving Carol Danvers in ‘Captain Marvel’ 2 & 3 and more future movies.
It’s such a treat to see Marvel expanding and bringing newer and younger characters in the MCU. The Marvel Cinematic Universe was already huge, but with Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and Vision permanently out of the current timeline, there’s a lot of scope for the new recruitments. Last week, Marvel announced various new movies and Disney+ TV shows, some of which will be introducing several new superheroes. One of the Disney+ shows will be based on Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), one of the youngest and newest superheroes in MCU and Marvel Comics.
However, right after joining the MCU, Ms. Marvel will be all set to save Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), in what could possibly be ‘Captain Marvel 3’ and other future movies.

Ms. Marvel to save Brie Larson in ‘Captain Marvel 3’?
Last week, Marvel announced the new Disney+ series based on Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan. With that announcement, the speculations of Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) sharing screen started.
It’s certainly possible that ‘Ms. Marvel’ will see Captain Marvel’s cameo, and ‘Captain Marvel 2’ might also have Ms. Marvel in it. But once the young character is established in the series, we might see bigger partnerships between Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel, most probably in ‘Captain Marvel 3’.
While most of the Marvel fans are pretty sure of some interesting chemistry between the current Ms. Marvel and former Ms. Marvel, a few fans aren’t aware of their connection in comics.
Former Ms. Marvel and younger Ms. Marvel in comics
After getting her powers from Tesseract, Carol Danvers originally took the name Ms. Marvel in the comics. However, recently in 2012, in honour of her dead mentor, aka the original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell), she assumed the mantel “Captain Marvel” in the comics.

Kamala Khan, in the comics, is known to be a huge admirer of Captain Marvel. Even before the launch of her sole titles, she appeared several times in Captain Marvel Vol 7 #14 and Captain Marvel Vol 7 #17.
Kamala Khan is immensely inspired by Carol Danvers and wishes to be like her in the comics. When she finally turns into Ms. Marvel, following a series of incidents, she finds her appearance exactly as that of Captain Marvel.
In the recently released sneak peek of Disney+ show ‘Ms. Marvel’, as spotted by “The Direct”, we can clearly see posters of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) on her wall.
This very well hints at the possibilities of them working together in future movies like ‘Captain Marvel 3’ and others.
Brie Larson confirms Ms. Marvel’s role in ‘Captain Marvel 2’
While the theories of ‘Captain Marvel 3’ are a distant possibility, Brie Larson has already confirmed Ms. Marvel in ‘Captain Marvel 2’. Soon after Marvel announced ‘Ms. Marvel’ last week, and officially confirmed Candyman director Nia DaCosta as the director of ‘Captain Marvel 2’, Brie Larson took to Twitter to share her excitement.
Brie Larson tweeted the screenshot of a text thread with DaCosta. Though the thread obviously seemed made-up, it confirmed Kamal Khan’s role in the movie.
Here’s the tweet clearly confirming Ms. Marvel in ‘Captain Marvel 2’ as they talk about adding “Iman”.
The connection of Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers in comics, the hints of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel posters in the ‘Ms. Marvel’ footage, and the confirmation of Ms. Marvel in ‘Captain Marvel 2’ by Brie, straight-out promises the pre-plotted chemistry between both “Marvels” in upcoming movies and shows, be it ‘Captain Marvel 3’ or future Ms. Marvel projects.
