The Hollywood actress Brie Larson is acing up her game in the entertainment industry. Popularly known for her role as the intergalactic fighter pilot Captain Marvel, Brie Larson is now all set to star in and produce a new Apple TV Plus series titled ‘Lessons in Chemistry’. Susannah Grant, ‘Erin Brockovich’ writer, has been roped in for the screenplay.
The show has recently landed a straight-to-series order and Apple Studios will produce the series with Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan as co-executive producers under the banner of Aggregate Films, which currently produces shows like ‘The Outsider’ at HBO and ‘Ozark’ at Netflix.
The series is a period drama focused on breaking social stereotypes.

Brie Larson is taking a break from fighting Thanos and other cosmic characters, and heading to the realm of the TV for Apple TV+ series ‘Lessons in Chemistry’. The series is set in the 1960s and narrates the story of a woman, Elizabeth Zott, who’s a victim of misogyny.

She dreams of having a career in science but is relegated to domestic life just because she is pregnant. The series depicts her journey of ‘onwards and upwards’, how she utilizes her life situations as stepping stones to get back to the world of science. The series is based on an upcoming novel by author Bonnie Garmus.
Captain Marvel or Elizabeth Zott – Larson is always a superhero, sometimes protecting the Universe from baddies, and at other times protecting the rights of women and helping them chase their dreams. What is the expected date of release?
Larson is set to reprise her role of Captain Marvel in the film’s sequel which is scheduled to release in November 2022. As of now, it is unclear when ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ will begin production, but it will obviously be after the shoot of ‘Captain Marvel 2’ when Brie Larson will be available for the Apple TV+ series. Fans are already waiting for the show with excitement, especially with such a great team working behind the scenes!
In November 2020, Brie Larson revealed on her YouTube channel that she always thought she was not beautiful.
“I don’t believe that there is a beauty standard. I struggled with feeling ugly and like an outcast for so much of my life. And so I really, really feel for that. It took me a long time to be able to be totally comfortable with myself.”
