Vince Gilligan is secretly preparing for Breaking Bad Season 6, nearly seven years after the show ended at White’s cryptic death scene.
With 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes and several other accolades Breaking Bad is undisputedly the best television series. The 62 episodes across five seasons and five years have earned Breaking Bad the most coveted title, i.e, the ‘Best television series of all times.’
But perhaps it’s time for the show to take things a notch higher with Breaking Bad Season 6. And guess who’s helping the show in achieving that, Walter White aka Heisenberg. (you heard me)
- White’s death in Season 5 was a façade, Walter’s actually alive in Breaking Bad Season 6
- Vince Gilligan is clever; he never gave away the answer if Walter is actually dead or not
- Walter will come back only to die of cancer in Season 6
White’s death in Season 5 was a façade, Walter’s actually alive in Breaking Bad Season 6
The Breaking Bad series finale ‘Felina’ famously ended with the image of Walter White collapsing (played by Bryan Cranston) on the floor of a meth lab bleeding out from machine gun wounds. The camera halts on Walter’s face donning a smile of satisfaction as he lay motionless on the floor. A police officer rushed over to check his pulse as the screen cut to black. Series over.
The Breaking Bad Season 5 finale suggests Walter White is dead, but writer-director Vince Gilligan never confirmed as much in his script. Well, that’s because Vince wanted to maintain the silence of ambiguity over Walter White’s death for a larger purpose of the show. And that is Breaking Bad Season 6.
Nearly 7 years later all the hoo-ha that had gripped Walter White’s ambiguous death will be answered in Breaking Bad Season 6.
Vince Gilligan is clever; he never gave away the answer if Walter is actually dead or not
Gilligan has been wickedly non-definitive in the past when it comes to answering the question about Walter’s death. When Vince Gilligan appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to promote his Breaking Bad movie El Camino, he was asked whether or not Walter is alive or dead. To which Vince replied saying, “I don’t know, what do you think, Rich?” “If my fans think Walt’s dead, the man’s dead… If not, then good!”
His statement is more of a suggestion than an outright confirmation. Therefore, leading us to believe that Walter White aka our very own Heisenberg is alive and gearing for a solid comeback in Breaking Bad Season 6.
Walter will come back only to die of cancer in Season 6
While celebrating his 50th birthday in the opening episode of Breaking Bad Season 1, Walter finds out that he has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. His medical condition permits him to live for a maximum of 3-4 years.
Meanwhile, the Breaking Bad timeline is set between September 2008 and September 2010. That’s just two years. Therefore, Walter White has two more years to live before he eventually dies of cancer. And in that scenario, it is possible for Vince Gilligan to pull him back from the dead in Breaking Bad Season 6 only to kill him off Cancer.
Now that there is a possibility of bringing Walter back, the whole idea of another season stacked with uncontrolled drugs, Jesse Pinkman’s swag and Walter’s badass attitude sounds so exciting.
