El Camino and Better Call Saul have left Breaking Bad fans restless, but it looks like there may be a Breaking Bad Season 6 in the works. We’re aware of Better Call Saul season 6, but does the success of the show and El Camino lead to a Breaking Bad season 6?
Highlights:
- The Breaking Bad world.
- Things we loved about Breaking Bad.
- Season 6 may be more than just a rumour
If you’re a Breaking Bad fan, I know that your heart skipped a beat when you read Breaking Bad Season 6. It’s a very valid reaction. If you’re new to the world of Breaking Bad then we’d recommend you watch the show before reading this because #SpoilerAlert.
The world of Heisenberg as we know it:
It all starts off when a chemistry teacher, Walter White, is diagnosed with cancer. To ensure he survivesthe disease and his family is taken care of, he dabbles in the drug-making business to make sure he’s financially secure.
To get on in this journey, he joins a former student, Jesse Pinkman as they begin to produce and sell crystallised meth. Walter and Jesse realise their ‘blue sky’ meth is the best in the business and they soon become actual drug lords, leading a life of crime.
The irony to interject this underworld business is Walter White’s brother-in-law, Hank who happens to be a Drug Enforcement Administration agent. To shield his identity and protect his family, Walter adopts the name “Heisenberg”.
What we loved
If you remember Newton’s third law of motion then you will see how it holds true for Breaking Bad. “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction” is something the show seems to portray flawlessly.
The plots, sub-plots and characters seem to all blend in unison causing every episode to be breathtaking. Somehow amidst all the madness, you find a very realistic story even if the show’s main plot seems far-fetched.
Perhaps it’s the science that keeps it grounded or perhaps, it is just the art of great screen writing, acting and cinematography involved. It’s a show that is a treat for people that love science, business or just a great television show.

What we didn’t like
Wwe definitely have mixed emotions when it comes to Jesse Pinkman. A character that ends up being the reason Walter White and his family get into trouble.
Every character lends depth and reason to make the show wholesome which is why 5 seasons just isn’t enough for Breaking Bad fans. The only bad thing about the show was that fans had to say goodbye.
But we Better Call Saul?
Fans soon noticed that the cast of Better Call Saul involved their favourites from Breaking Bad and we now look forward to more cameos from the Breaking Bad cast.
In fact, Peter Gould was quoted by Collider that Better Call Saul was conjured up when he and co-creator Vince Gilligan were working on the post-production of Breaking Bad, “As the final season of Breaking Bad was in post, Vince and I used to take these long walks down the back alley at lunchtime. The back alleys of Burbank [are] some of the uglier streets in Los Angeles but somehow very conducive to conversation. We would just talk about what the show would be, and we got more and more excited.”
El Camino!
In 2019, Director Vince Gilligan released a Breaking Bad movie that had fans question the release of season 6 and multiple sources seem to think it’s quite possibly in the works.
Does Better Call Saul Season 6 equal Breaking Bad Season 6?
Since writers and creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan are part of both shows, it seems like them working alongside on both projects is plausible. Better Call Saul Season 6 has been renewed by ABC is expected to release in the first half of 2021.
And if it is true, then here is what we expect from Breaking Bad Season 6: How will Jesse Pinkman return, and will he star as the new lead? Will we finally know what occurred to Walter White’s hidden money?
