Breaking Bad ended in 2013 but its dedicated audience is still waiting for any hint for its revival. Seems like these wishes may be finally coming true with a probable season 6.
Breaking Bad ended in 2013 but its hold on the pop-culture is still as strong as ever. After a five year long ride of being emotionally invested in the show and the characters in it, Breaking Bad’s ending did not leave us surprised.
The only show to ever reach a 10 rating for the episode ‘Ozymandias’ which is often considered the best Television ever made, Breaking Bad is still as relevant in the landscape of Television content as it was seven years ago.
Highlights
- It’s Breaking Bad World And We Are Just Living In It
- Breaking Bad Without Walter White
- Breaking Bad Season 6
Which is to say that any time Vince Gilligan decided to revive the show, the whole world will watch.
After having said that, Breaking Bad might be doing the unthinkable. Is it making a way back to our screens with Season 6?
It’s Breaking Bad World And We Are Just Living In It
Of course, the most important reason for Breaking Bad to still have such a strong hold on it’s audience and dominate as one of the greatest show of all time is the absolute brilliance the show is written with.

But another reason for us to never get over Breaking Bad and still yearn after it like it’s the one who got away is because there are far too many things reminding us of the show. The Breaking Bad universe has not left us untouched, Vince Gilligan has made sure of that.
Whether it’s the remarkably well-made and critically acclaimed spin-off series Better Call Saul or El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie which released in 2019. Better Call Saul follows the life of Saul before he came Saul and was just plain ol’ Jimmy- a lawyer involved in the occasional bad things. Whereas, El Camino picked up Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul’s) story right where it ended in the series finale of Breaking Bad.

So, if the universe that Breaking Bad exists in is still functioning, what is to say that a Season 6 can’t be designed out of it?
Breaking Bad Without Walter White
*Spoiler Alert*
There are of course a few things that concerns the ‘how’ question of a probable Season 6 in Breaking Bad. The kind of question that would elude the likes of Vince Gilligan himself who came up with this world of drugs and crime.
Walter White (Bryan Cranston) died in the series finale of Breaking Bad titled ‘Felina’. It was a clear end to a mysterious beginning. Walter had to end. He had left too much destruction in his wake. But he did not go down without revenge. Walter with his rigged machine gun went on a killing spree full Tarantino style and mowed down the entire Aryan Brotherhood Gang.
Walter then saved Jesse, actually taking a bullet for him. The pair parted ways with a smile and a glint of recognition that confirmed the truth we knew the second the episode started: It was over.
So, with Walter really dead how is a Breaking Bad Season 6 going to be possible?
Breaking Bad Season 6
Sure, Walter White is dead but that is not a reason that Breaking Bad can’t come back for Season 6.
In El Camino we saw Jesse Pinkman escape the captivity and move to Alaska under a new name and gets a chance to start his life all over again. El Camino could be a bridge to the next season which could feature Jesse Pinkman on the run in hiding and Walter White would right by his side- in flashbacks and memories.
Of course, there is always a chance that Vince Gilligan decides to shock the audience and declare Walter White alive. After all, if anyone can pull that off it’s Walter White- the mastermind.
