When Sheldon met Amy!
Sheldon and Amy first met when an online dating site paired them up as the perfect match for each other. We can never thank Howard and Raj enough for secretly registering Sheldon on a dating site.
The guys had to convince Sheldon to go on the blind date. Raj blackmailed him with a hypothetical dirty sock. Sheldon went there with the sole purpose of rejecting the girl he was matched with. He was taken by surprise on meeting Amy Farrah Fowler, who was as smart as him.

Amy told him that she was there only to fulfil the promise to her mother that she would go on at least one date a year. Sheldon was shockingly impressed (he isn’t easily impressed) when Amy told him that all forms of physical contact are prohibited. The story took a romantic turn when Sheldon offered to buy her a beverage.
Shamy’s first fight and Sheldon replacing Amy with 25 cats
It happened in “The Zazzy Substitution” where they had a fight over whose field was more important, which led to calling off their friendship (the first big bang fight between Shamy). Sheldon appeared cool at first, but quickly adopted 25 cats to try to fill the hole that Amy left, though he did not realize it himself.

Before things got worse, Leonard called Sheldon’s mother, Mary Cooper, who adopted the reverse psychology method to get them back together. Sheldon tried patching up with Amy but she put forth a condition. Sheldon had to accept 80% of the fault, he said he would go as high as 40% only. Amy countered him 65% and he agreed immediately.
Sheldon asked Amy to befriend him again despite the disapproval of her mother. Amy replied that she finds the tag of “bad girl” oddly titillating. He then showed her all his cats and discovered that they both mutually like cats before eventually giving all of them away.
The love saga of the cutest geek couple on the planet
Amy kind of considered him her boyfriend while Sheldon only considered her as his friend. To recall Sheldon’s description of Amy, “She’s a girl and she’s my friend, but she’s not my girlfriend”.
Despite their platonic closeness, there were hints that there might be something deeper between them. At many places, we saw Amy showing her attraction for Sheldon and then there were instances where Sheldon, despite his denial, showed his jealousy (Yes!) at other men’s interest in Amy or would go against his personality to make her happy.
They finally became official “boyfriend/girlfriend” during “The Flaming Spittoon Acquisition”. Three years later they professed their love for each other, Amy wanted to move in together with Sheldon but could not say it directly.
In season 8, Sheldon burned Amy out and she broke up with him. They reconciled in “The Earworm Reverberation” and consummated their relationship in “The Opening Night Excitation” the next month on Amy’s birthday. Sheldon and Amy first try an experiment in living together in Penny’s old apartment and then decide to move in together permanently.
Later, Amy accepts an offer to go to Princeton University for a summer job, leaving Sheldon alone. In “The Long Distance Dissonance”, Sheldon drops everything and runs off to Princeton and proposes to her.
They got engaged in the season 11 premiere episode “The Proposal Proposal” and started planning their wedding. In one of the most anticipated episode, season 11 finale- “The Bow Tie Asymmetry“, Sheldon and Amy were hitched.
Sheldon-Amy separation to serve the pilot for ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 13
We saw the geek couple planning children in season 12. But something has happened between the two. The unbreakable Shamy are now living separately. They can’t stand each other. They had one big bang fight off-camera and the aftermath estranged couple will drive ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 13.
Fans of the series are coming up with crazy theories like this to poke Chuck Lorre to launch ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 13. He also has his story in his mind to run season 13 and season 14.
