Trouble in paradise! Kaley Cuoco might not be coming back for season 13 of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ because of her romantic history with a reel life partner, Johnny Galecki.
Leonard and Penny have been serious couple goals right from the beginning of ‘The Big Bang Theory’. Leonard (Unlucky In Love) Hofstadter won the girl of his dreams fair and square, and let’s be real, he’s a keeper. Although lucky on-screen, the off-screen love story of Leonard and Penny met its doom sooner than we had expected. One bitter romance might have cost Kaley Cuoco her role in season 13 of ‘The Big Bang Theory’.

Leonard and Penny are Couple Goals
In the episode titled “The Mommy Observation” (Season 7), Stuart says, “Uh, well, I feel like you guys make each other better. Penny brought Leonard out of his shell. And it seems like Leonard makes Penny think more deeply about the world. I don’t know. Together, you two kind of make one awesome person.”

Leonard and Penny have been dynamically opposite to each other in every way. Yet, they bring out the best in each other. Starting from their first date to their marriage and finally having a life together, Leonard and Penny have been full of surprises with no less drama. True, their relationship has not been an ideal and perfect one, but whose is! They started as friends and came through as partners. Together they made their relationship work against all odds.
Throughout the run of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Leonard and Penny remained the glue that held the show together. While season 12 might have indicated at a happily ever after for this people, it is possible that Kaley Cuoco will not return as Penny in season 13 of ‘The Big Bang Theory’.

Love’s Labour’s Lost for Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki
Reel life partners, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, who played Penny and Leonard respectively in ‘The Big Bang Theory’, have also been partners behind the screens for about two years. Cuoco admitted to having dated Galecki secretly from 2007 to 2009. Addressing all the hush-hush that went on between Galecki and her behind the screens, she agreed that their relationship was sad and not as fun as they had wanted it to be. According to “Entertainment Tonight”, Cuoco said, “It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it. It was a wonderful relationship but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together. We were so protective of ourselves and the show and didn’t want anything to ruin that. … We knew how to keep it deep inside and never bring it on that set, ever. That’s not the kind of relationship I want. I don’t want to be hiding. We couldn’t do anything. It wasn’t as fun as we wanted it to be. Everyone was always asking, and we deny-deny-denied. And I’m like, ‘Why am I denying this person that I love?’ It took a little bit of a toll on me and I think it did for him, too.
It could have been that a failed relationship later, things grew awkward between Cuoco and Galecki forcing Cuoco to not be a part of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 13.
Blast from the Past to Get in the Way of Cuoco’s Career?
There have been a lot of talks surrounding the relationship of Johnny Gakecki and Kaley Cuoco. Talking about their breakup, Cuoco said, “We broke up before the holidays and worked that whole time. We dodged a huge bullet. Dodged a war. But when you’re dealing with two professionals who have been working since they were both 4-and who kept their lives extremely private- we didn’t want anything other than that… I’m so lucky it was a mutual ending and that we don’t hate each other. We’ve seen that happen on other shows.” She also said, “Well, we dated like five years ago, so I think we both moved on. Johnny is actually one of my best friends. It’s a situation that ended well. I understand sometimes it doesn’t. It could have gone horrible.”
Clearly, everything is hunky dory between the two and thankfully, they are not waging wars against each other. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is not yet up for a season 13 but we are hoping to see both Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki working together for whenever it does.
