The Big Bang Theory and Breaking Bad have more similarities then the eye can catch so a crossover is inevitable at this point to give us the movie of our dreams.
Maybe it’s the quarantine, maybe it’s the feeling of impending doom shadowing our every thought or maybe we just love our Television shows but fans of a certain two TV shows have been circulating some discussions online and we would like to be a part of it.
If you hear the word ‘sitcom’ and then you hear the word ‘drama’ there is not much that’s similar in them together. Especially when the series in question are The Big Bang Theory and Breaking Bad.

- In Science We Believe
- The Odd Crossover
But there is more to it then what catches the eye and if given the chance to merge them together in say- a movie, the results would be shocking.
The King Of Differences
The Big Bang Theory was developed as a TV show for a niche audience with very specific taste. The characters are all portrayed as nerdy science geeks who derive pleasure from studying physics and it’s various counter-parts.
Of course, there is the occasional board-games and looking for women who will go out with them but the nerd factor is what the sitcom really is all about. (if we don’t count Leonard begging for Penny to date him for most of the first few seasons)
Whereas, Breaking Bad has nothing similar going-on on their turf to a sitcom. Let’s just say Breaking Bad is as far as away from being a sitcom as we are to reaching the sun. A high school teacher becomes a drug lord and destroys the lives of anyone involved with him or against him.
Be that as it may, there are some striking similarities between the two worlds worth exploring for the hope of a bizarre-dream-come true movie scenario.
In Science We Believe
Circling back to what the two successful TV shows are all about, if we were to line up everything tying the shows together we would have a very small stand-alone line of one thing: Science.
Saying Sheldon Cooper is a genius is obviously an understatement. He is the master of Physics, a child Prodigy and someone who lives for his love of science. There are undoubtedly very little next to none areas of Physics or Science that he is unfamiliar with.
And Walter White on the other hand, although is not a master of Chemistry, has a very good grasp of it. Well, chemistry does help in cooking up drugs so that’s one not hard to guess why. Before his endeavour into the world of crime, White was a high-school Chemistry teacher so that would explain it.
And if these two were to put their heads together for evil or for good it would truly be a force to reckoned with, wouldn’t it?
The Odd Crossover
Even if Sheldon is the brilliant scientist that he is, he isn’t exactly smart on the streets. And we all know how important that is. Walter, on the other hand, is smart as a whip with a brilliant level of anticipating the moves of people around him.
Walter is shown to use his street-smart brilliance to get out of tricky situations when on one occasion he uses Mercury fulminate to create a blast and make the Mexicans pay.
Combine the genius academic mind of Sheldon Cooper and Walter’s shrewdness and together they create a Power-Duo with an ability to ruin or save the world.
