‘Band Of Brothers’: About the series
They decided on it after working together on the movie ‘Saving Private Ryan‘ which is considered the greatest war movie ever made. The series consisted of 10 episodes and was adapted from Stephen Ambrose’s book of the same name. ‘Band Of Brothers’ exhibited sheer brilliance in telling the real-life story of the men of Easy Company. This particular company was involved in almost every major battle of the European campaign. The show was a cast of talented actors including Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston, Neal McDonough, Donnie Wahlberg, Scott Grimes, and Kirk Acevedo, among many others. Several well-known stars like Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy, James McAvoy, and Simon Pegg, were a part of the series of 2001 before they became famous.

Hanks and Spielberg, in 2010, co-created a sister series, ‘The Pacific‘, that focussed on several battles in the Pacific arena. ‘Band of Brothers’ is especially known for featuring Rami Malek in an early role.
Prospects of season 2
According to some reliable sources in Hollywood, details have emerged about the upcoming ‘Band Of Brothers’ sequel show. “GQ” had reported that the series will be produced by Spielberg and Hanks once again. The series will be released by Apple on its streaming service.
The mini-series is adapted from the book “Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany” by Donald L. Miller. The book narrates the story of a crew called the Bomber Boys, who took part in D-Day and the European campaign. It also details life in German prison camps for the airmen who were shot down over Germany. It is also reported by inside sources that ‘Band Of Brothers’ writer John Orloff will pen the series. And director of ‘No Time To Die’, Cary Joji Fukunaga is set to direct three episodes.
But, till now, there is no confirmation of an official name for the series. Although it’s a good bet that ‘Bomber Boys’ will be the eventual moniker. Of course, Hanks and Spielberg are returning and the addition of Fukunaga makes the prospect of the series even more exciting.
There are numerous speculations but there is no firm news on a broadcast date or cast. The cast should be announced soon because the show is reportedly shooting early next year. Hopefully, Hanks, Fukunaga, and Spielberg can do justice to the original ‘Band Of Brothers’. The original series remains the definitive TV account of WWII. Audiences can look forward to another brilliant World War II story narrated through the eyes of those who experienced it. The chances of the talented trio messing things up are very slim to none.
