Kutcher gave his testimony on Wednesday at a Los Angeles murder trial. He disclosed that one night 18 years ago, he had gone to pick a fashion-designer student (Ashley Ellerin) to go out for drinks but as she did not answer the door, he left. The next morning he learned that she had been lying dead on the other side of the door. Aston Kutcher gave the testimony in the trial against Michael Gargiulo who has been charged with the murder.
Kutcher had kept Ashley waiting for hours before he arrived at her abode.
“I knocked on the door and there was no answer. I knocked again, and once again, no answer. At this point, I pretty well assumed she had left for the night, and that I was late, and she was upset.”
He saw what he thought was ‘spilled red wine’ on the carpet before he left.
“I remember the next day after I heard about what happened, I went to the detectives and said, ‘My fingerprints are on the door.’ I was freaking out.”
Michael Gargiulo has been accused of several other murders and the prosecutors have claimed that he stabbed Ellerin 47 times in the ‘serial sexual-thrill’ crime.
