Angel and Buffy will cross paths in this installation of the series reboot.
TV shows from the 1990s have a special place in the hearts of those who grew up watching them, so it’s always exciting to know of renewals, reboots, or reunions of hit shows from the time. And the excitement is manifold when there are crossovers between those shows!

- The ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ crossover
- The latest crossover may not be what you think
So, it’s with considerable knowledge of the sentiments of the fans that the powers-that-be decided to reunite, in one of their newest comic reboots, two of the most fan-favourite cult shows from the 90s: ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and its spin-off ‘Angel’.
The ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ crossover
‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ is about Buffy Summers, a teenager who, as the “chosen one” of her generation, is destined to slay vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings. She is helped on her adventures by her friends.
‘Angel’, which is a spin-off of the original show, follows the adventures of Buffy’s former flame, the vampire Angel who now works in Los Angeles.

In ‘Angel’, showrunners Joss Whedon and David Greenwalt went for creating a private-detective drama with a supernatural twist, where Angel and the team were faced with cases involving ghouls, demons, vampires, and so on.
Quickly, the makers realised that one of the reasons that ‘Buffy’ did so well was because of its ensemble cast, and roped in cast members from the original show. Characters from ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘ would cross paths with Angel and Cordelia, leading to a few ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ crossover episodes.
On the latest crossover
Boom! Studios have been making comic book series of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Angel’, and in the one released in October, titled “Hellmouth”, the characters from both the shows are set for an epic crossover.

This latest installation from the widely popular comic reboots of the show will present characters having to tackle an event that is to arrive centuries down the line. Faced with such a scenario, only the Scooby gang can save the day.
However, this ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ crossover will clearly not be what you’re used to. Although the characters are the same, the narrative in these comic book series often takes different turns.
So, this is one crossover you don’t want to miss. The combined force of Buffy and her gang and Angel and his team is sure to disperse the many evil threats looming over Sunnydale!
