Meghan Markle signs a deal with Disney
After stepping down from their royal titles and duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finally free to explore and expand their skills and talents they are best at. Meghan Markle obviously jumped right back at acting and Prince Harry supported her like a perfect husband would.
Disney plus recently released a nature documentary titled ‘Elephants’ which is a film about, as the name suggests, the majestic Elephants. The film follows African elephant Shani and her son Jomo on a journey across the Kalahari desert with their herd. It has been acclaimed for being “an unforgettable, cute little tail” that is enjoyable for kids and their families interested in the trails of nature.
Fans react to Meghan’s comeback
Some fans took to Twitter to express their joy upon watching the latest Disney film and praised Meghan Markle for her performance.— “The elephant documentary on Disney+ that was narrated by Meghan, the duchess of Sussex made me cry like a big baby” said @ajackieherrera.
Another fan, @viserionsEye said,- “@disneyplus @disney my kids loved Elephants + loved #MeghanMarkle narrating. More movies like Elephants please.” While these comments are positives, critics from the US and British press rated her voice acting a maximum of three stars.
The times gave her narration a two star rating with the critic that— “Meghan Markle is swapping pomp and circumstance for schmaltz and cheesiness… The sense of performance, though, often feels overegged”

Ed Potton from The Times compared her voice over acting to Sir David Attenborough’s, and criticised it be “shallow” He concluded with an observation on how her ‘silken tones’ employed on the legal drama Suits which were ‘often muzzled during her time as a full-time royal’ are now ‘given free rein’.
How did Meghan get this sweet deal?
Meghan’s return to acting was already decided upon much before her exit from the royal family. Some might even choose to say that Markle never really left but rather took a temporary break as she embarked on a new journey in life as the Duchess of Sussex.
In July 2019, Prince Harry was filmed Meghan’s interest in being a part of a Disney production to Disney Chief, Bob Iger at the London premiere of Lion King. Following that, reports began to claim that the Suits actress had spoken to various entertainment agencies while she resided in Vancouver Island.
Will Meghan return to suits?
After being bashed by critics for her over-the-top voice-over performance, Meghan Markle might just resort to her safest bet. For the same reason, there are speculations that Meghan Markle will eventually return as Rachel Zane along with her co-stars Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, and Rick Hoffman among many others.
