After weeks of exciting teasers and speculation, DC’s virtual FanDome offered an immersive experience for fans, who were able to glean details about upcoming movies, series, games and comics. The Wonder Woman 1984 panel kickstarted the event, with director Patty Jenkins giving fans another trailer, which addressed some leaks from the highly-anticipated sequel.
Robert Pattinson isn’t merely Batman, he’s vengeance incarnate. As reported, Matt Reeves has only shot 25% percent of The Batman; but the trailer gives the impression everything is in place for a commercial blockbuster. Reeves gave fans a glimpse of his vision of Gotham with the first Batman trailer at DC FanDome. He also flaunted his rogue gallery and established the Batman: Year Two theme.
The trailer opens with the never-seen-before Darkseid in his full glory. The scene has the same background as Stepphenwolf’s introductory scene from the theatrical version. All the footage is never-seen-before and it tells us how much the movie was tempered with. Next comes Batman’s sacrifice and his last screaming shot which is supposed to wake up the Mother Box, followed by a blink and you’d miss Joker Easter egg in the ruins of the nightmare sequence.
