The 29-year-old athlete breaks 16 year old record in 400m hurdle race.
“I’m still in shock,” Muhammad said after clocking 52.20 seconds on a wet track, similar to the conditions for her Rio Olympic title.
Dalilah Muhammad finished the race in 52.20 seconds. Dalilah Muhammad was 0.14 seconds faster than the previous record set by Russian athlete Yuliya in 2003.
Dalilah Muhammad’s previous personal best was 52.64 seconds in 2017.
Dalilah won the race and another Americal athlete Sydney McLaughlin finishes second. Sydney McLaughlin took 52.88 seconds to finish the race. Ashley Spencer finishing strongly to take the third place. She took 53.11 seconds to finish the race.
In the 2016 summer Olympics, Muhammad won the gold medal in 400m hurdle race.
