American athletes dominated the medal table of World Athletics Championships 2019
The 17th edition of the World Athletics Championships ended on the October 6 in Doha, Qatar. In this Championship total 209 countries participated and total 49 events took place.
American athletes rocked in the World Athletics Championships 2019 by winning total 26 medals.
America topped the medal tally of World Athletics Championships 2019 by winning total 29 medals. America won 14 gold, 11 silver and 4 bronze medals.

Kenya has won a total of 11 medals while Jamaica won 12 medals. In 209 participating countries, only 31 countries succeed to won at least one medal in this Championship.
After the championship, IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) president Sebastian Coe said, “It is pretty clear to us that on athlete performance, this is the best world championships that we’ve ever had”.
America’s superb performance on the last day
On the final day of World Athletics Championships 2019, American athletes performed really well. America won three gold medals on the final day.
On the last day of Championship, both men’s and women’s team of America won gold in the 4×400-meter relay race. In 100 m hurdle race, American women finished the race in first and second position.

America won a total of 14 gold medals in this Championship. In the last 12 years, this is the best result at World Athletics Championships.
