In a recent discussion with Scoop B, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry stated that The Undertaker was in the same league as Kobe Bryant.
Whenever one thinks of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) WrestleMania season, one cannot look past The Undertaker. With 21 consecutive victories, The Undertaker has the longest streak at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania is the biggest pay-per-view where featuring alone means a lot to several wrestlers. One of them is Mark Henry who competed against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 22. Henry compared The Undertaker to Kobe Bryant on Scoop B’s Instagram handle.

The Undertaker in the Same League as Kobe Bryant
Considering The Undertaker’s legendary status, comparisons to legends of other sports is inevitable. Mark Henry made one such comparison in a recent Instagram Q&A with Scoop B.
Henry highlighted that he had faced several great wrestlers from different generations, but “Being in the ring with The Undertaker was completely DIFFERENT.” The Undertaker brought a sense of nervousness with his entrance music and his slow walk to the ring.
The Undertaker’s frightening personality is one of the reasons why he is called “the dead man.” It is his ability to rise from the grave when his opponents believe he is done and dusted.
Henry calls this persona as “the most electrifying, entertaining, outstanding thing about pro wrestling,” hence comparing him to Kobe Bryant, who also electrified fans with his superb performances.
The Undertaker’s Streak could have been ended by Mark Henry
There were discussions about Mark Henry beating The Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania 22 when The Undertaker was 14-0. Fortunately for The Undertaker fans the streak did not end then. It continued for another 7 WrestleManias before finally losing to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.
However, Henry was’nt interested in beating The Undertaker’s streak. Henry said, “I don’t want to carry that weight.”
Beating The Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania is a burden because The Undertaker is a fan favorite. Hence, few wrestlers want to have their names associated with beating the streak.
The Undertaker’s legendary status in the WWE is the reason why he still features at WrestleManias and is compared to other legends like Kobe Bryant. Two days ago, he returned to the grandest stage to beat AJ Styles in a boneyard match.
