England beat Australia by 40-16 in the 1st quarter-final of Rugby World Cup 2019
In the first quarter-final of Rugby World Cup 2019, England registered a big win of 40-16 over Australia. Today, England showed why they are one of the best Rugby team in the world.
With the thumping victory over Australia, England secured their place in the semi-final of Rugby World Cup 2019.
This is the third time when Australia lost quarter-final match in Rugby World Cup. In the last World Cup, Australia has reached into the final but this time they failed to qualify for the finals.

Australia started well as in the first five minutes they were leading by 3-0 but failed to turn early possession into points. In the 6th minute, England opens their account by scoring a first try of the match. After getting the first point, English players completely dominated Australians and secured their spot in the semi-final of Rugby World Cup 2019.

In today’s match, English players showed great teamwork. In this match, England has scored four tries and Wallabies scored only one. This is the third time when England beat Australia in the quarter-final of Rugby World Cup.

After the match, losing captain Michael Hooper said, “We played an attacking style of rugby which I think really threatened the English today. Congratulations to England for a good win. We are really upset, we emptied into this and didn’t get it. We are gutted”.
On the other hand, English skipper Owen Farrell said, “I thought Australia made that a brilliant game. They attacked throughout but our boys did well in defence and managed to get some field position off the back of it”.

England’s confidence is very high after getting a huge victory against Australia. England’s semi-final match is on next October 26 with the winner of the quarter-final – 2 between New Zealand and Ireland.
