On the other hand, this is the fourth time when England reached into the final of Rugby World Cup. England’s last two World Cups was very bad but this they will hope for the win. England is in good form and playing a quality game.
About the match
England started really well as centre Manu Tuilagi’s second-minute try sets the tone of match for his team. Just before the half-time, Ford took a penalty and successfully got points for his team. English defenders played with a discipline and they did not give a single point to New Zealand before the half-time. At the end of half-time, England was leading by 10-0.

After the half-time, All Blacks scored some points but failed to stop England from reaching into the final. Today, England looked faster, stronger and sharper than All Blacks. Lack of planning against English defenders is the major reason behind New Zealand’s loss.
Player of the match – Maro Itoje
The 24-year-old lock, Maro Itoje played a brilliant game in the semi-final and led his team to the victory. In this match, he won 3 turnovers and 7 lineouts. He also had 10 carries for 30 metres and stuck 10 huge tackles. He also made a whopper on All Blacks’ lock Sam Whitelock.

After giving a match-winning performance, Maro Itoje said, “Fair play to the All Blacks, they were the best team in the world for a reason, we really had to play for 80 minutes. It was a good day at the office for us. I think we’re just building, game by game, week by week, we’re just building. We haven’t done the job yet but we’re one step closer.”
What captain’s said after the match
After this big game, English captain Owen Farrell said, “It’s brilliant to get there. It’s brilliant to be a part of. We’ll enjoy this win first, but we’ll make sure we prepare well. “It doesn’t get any bigger at this stage. We felt like we prepared well and we started the game well.”

On the other hand, All Blacks’ skipper Kieran Read said, “I guess it is hard to put into words what it means. You have to give England credit for coming out and starting so well – we couldn’t get into the game. I think we will look at the game and have so many ‘what ifs’ and things we could have done better. On a stage like this you can’t afford to do that and it cost us.”
This is a huge victory for England as they beat the best team of the decade. Now, England is only one step away to win their second World Cup in Rugby. The semi-final between Wales and South Africa will decide that who will England face in the final on next Sunday.
