Lennox Lewis Claims He Would Come Out Of Retirement To Fight Mike Tyson For $100 Million
The retired pugilist specialist Lennox Lewis is not going to think for a second to get back in the ring to fight with Mike Tyson for $100million.
In a recent interview, Lewis said that “I’d take off my pyjamas for $100million. So if you are serious – come with it baby, show me the paper.”
Retired back in 2003, Lewis went on reminiscing about his ultimate fight with Tyson in 2002. He defeated Tyson in an eighth-round knockout where they both guaranteed $17.5million. In his career of 44 matches, he has only been defeated two times and one match ended in a draw.
Lewis further said that he and Tyson share the same history. The only difference was Tyson has spent time in imprisonment. At that time I was still fighting and training myself. When he came out he had to fight again not because of the love for the sport but for earning himself money and getting food on the table. Whenever I look at old-time fighters I realise they stayed in boxing because that was the only thing they knew.
Lewis last fight before retirement was against Vitali Kitshchko in June 2003, where he was victorious. On the other hand, Tyson retired in 2005 after 3 more fights.
People around the world are pretty excited after Lewis’s statement. If the fight takes place it indeed is going to be the Match of the century.
