Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor announced his retirement on Twitter
Conor McGregor, the mixed martial arts fighter who is always surrounded by controversies disclosed about his retirement to fans through social media. On 26 March morning, McGregor tweeted about the same.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.

Popularly known as “The Notorious“, the fighter is at 8th position on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) pound-for-pound list. The Irish fighter is saying goodbye to the sport with a record of 21-4-0 and UFC belts in two divisions.
Just a few hours before the shocking revelation, McGregor in an interview claimed about being in talks for an upcoming fight. He even mentioned the fight will be in July.
His statement about the upcoming fight was “My next fight, we’re in talks for July. We’ll see what happens. A lot of politics going on. The fight game is a mad game but as I said again, to my fans I am in shape and I am ready.“
After hearing the news, UFC supremo Dana White expressed about how he feels McGregor has achieved “incredible things” in UFC. Dana said his retirement makes sense as the fighter has money to retire and his new business venture of a whiskey brand is alive and kicking. The name of the whiskey brand is kept as Proper No. Twelve.
