Chelsea beat Norwich City by 3-2
Chelsea won the first match of a season by beating Norwich City 3-2 at Carrow Road. This is the second loss for Norwich City in a season.
The 21-year-old striker Tammy Abraham scored a first goal of the match for Chelsea. Just after Abraham’s goal, Todd Cantwell scored a first goal of the match for The Canaries.
In the 17th minute, English midfielder Mason Mount scored a goal and gave a lead of 2-1 to Chelsea. In the 30th minute, Finnish footballer Teemu Pukki scored an equalizer.
In the half-time, both teams were on the score of 2-2. Tammy Abraham scored his 2nd goal of the match in the 68th minute and gave a lead of 3-2 to his team.
Chelsea won the match by 3-2 and registered their first win of the season. Tammy Abraham scored two goals in a match.
This is a first win for the former English footballer Frank Lampard as Chelsea’s head coach. After the defeat in a first match of the season against Manchester United by 4-0, this is a good win for The Blues.
“It’s disappointing to not get anything from the game. We had really good spells against a world-class game”, said midfielder Todd Cantwell after the match.
Chelsea’s next match is on August 31 with Sheff Utd. while Norwich City’s next match is also on the same day against West Ham.
