FC Internazionale Milan has confirmed the arrival of defender Diego Godin on a free transfer after his contract at Atletico Madrid expired.
Inter confirmed the signing of former Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin on a three-year deal on a free transfer.
Uruguayan defender, Diego Godin will sign a two-year deal, with the option of a third year with Inter Milan.
Godin announced in May he would be leaving Atletico Madrid after nine seasons with the La Liga giants.
While Godin’s move to Inter was long expected it was only made official on Monday morning, following Uruguay’s exit from the Copa America 2019.
“FC Internazionale Milano announces that a contract has been agreed with Diego Godin that will run until 30 June 2022,” a statement on Inter’s official website
