Igor Stimac appointed as new head coach of India
Former Croatia International Igor Stimac is good to go to take over as Indian men’s national team mentor after the suggestion of AIFF’s (All India Football Federation) Technical Committee.
AIFF’s Technical Committee has advanced Stimac’s name to AIFF’s Executive board, who will currently sanction the choice.

“We have picked Croatian Igor Stimac from the meetings. Each board part and AIFF individuals addressed him and got an agreeable answer. His planning for Indian football is noteworthy. He knows about the nation. He is great so we as a whole have chosen to designate him as the new head mentor,” Shyam Thapa, director of the Technical Committee, as saying.
The previous Croatia defenders have 53 caps as a player for Croatia somewhere in the range of 1990 and 2002 and spoke to the national group amid the 1998 World Cup in France.
