A car-jacking gang attacked two Arsenal players Özil and Kolašinac
Mesut Özil and Sead Kolašinac were attacked by bikers with knives in North London.
Bikers attacked both Özil and Kolašinac in North London on Thursday in an apparent robbery attempt. Both players were unharmed.
Both Özil and Kolašinac plays for English football club Arsenal. Bikers chased both of them in Golders Green Road, North London.
Bikers surrounded their black jeep around 5:00 PM (local time). Mesut Özil left his car behind and ran into a Turkish restaurant.
When midfielder Özil’s car came to a halt, the helmet-wearing raiders launched stones and a brick at the 4×4’s windows.
All the waiters and chefs from the Turkish restaurant rushed to the aid of the football stars forcing the gang to flee empty-handed.
An Arsenal spokesperson has confirmed that the players were involved in an attempted carjacking, saying, “We have been in contact with both players and they are fine.”
“Police were called to Platts Lane, NW3, shortly before 5 p.m. (local time) on Thursday, July 25 to reports of an attempted robbery,” a police spokesperson said.
