“The Best” awards in football are back with the four most prestigious individual awards.
On July 31, FIFA officially announces the nominees for the four major categories awards. The award ceremony will be on 23rd September 2019 at Milan.
FIFA revealed the list of top 10 nominees for the Best men’s footballer. In this list, there are some star football players like- Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
There are some players, who deserved their name in the list of top 10 nominees for the Best men’s footballer. These players are:
1. Alisson Becker’s: Becker is a Brazilian goalkeeper who played brilliant football last season for his football club ‘Liverpool’ and also for his national team ‘Brazil’. Alisson Becker became the 2nd most expensive goalkeeper in football history. Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp signed him in a record-breaking amount.
2. Bernardo Silva: Portuguese professional footballer, Silva played brilliant football last season. Bernardo Silva won the Premier League for the Manchester City. He is the main player in Manchester City’s squad. He also won the League Cup and FA Cup for Manchester City. Bernardo Silva also played a major role in Portugal’s win in UEFA Nations League.
3. Raheem Sterling: England’s attacking midfielder Sterling played good football last season. Raheem Sterling is a versatile footballer, who can play both as a winger and attacking midfielder. Raheem Sterling scored 25 goals and 12 assists from 48 games in all the competitions.
